What's going on at KCSM?

The HD2 is on already. It seems like it is running WFMT's Jazz Network.
Indeed, per the Spinitron calendar, it's *ALL* Jazz Network except for 7-10am on Sunday morning. I assume they plan to start plugging other things in there (maybe student interns?) but given a choice between the real KCSM and Jazz Network, who would choose the latter?

It was nice to finally have Keith Hines back on Morning Cup this morning. He apparently did a stint in the hospital (tho' this morning was the first time that fact was mentioned on-air). He's been off more than he's been on for the last 4 months or so. He was missed, so welcome back, sir!

Meant to follow-up on this, but Keith Hines came back for exactly one week and then disappeared again. They have brought back a guy named Dave Ramirez, who apparently was with the station 7 or 8 years ago (?) to be a fill-in guy. Greg Bridges has also been doing some sitting-in-for-Keith duty. Rather worrisome for those of us who are Keith fans.

Keith is finally returning to he regular "Morning Cup" duties this Tues, Oct 1st. Welcome back, Mr Hines!

This Monday nite (11/25) will be the last airing of the Richard Hadlock "Annals of Jazz" reruns on KCSM.

Apparently this is the first of many schedule changes to come. Heard promos this morning indicating we're getting a "Sunday Morning Cup of Jazz" (7a to 10a) next month; not clear where the specialty shows currently in that slot are going. And Station Manager, Dr Robert Franklin (using the pseudonym "Bob Brown") will move his Blues After Hours show from the HD-2 channel to... HD-1, Fridays at 10pm? Wait, is Kathleen Lawton retiring?
