What's going on at WKYE

I made a trip to Altoona today and was surprised at how much WKYE had changed. They ditched Randy Reeves, their long-time station voice, for a female. Jingles gone too! They always had great Jam jingles. As it was a "We Play Everything" weekend, it couldn't tell if there had been any musical change. Two questions: has there been a change to a somewhat younger/hotter sound? And when did these changes occur? This has really changed the sound of WKYE.

They made those changes sometime last year, not sure exactly why. Waly 103.9 out of Altoona is their sister station and they now sound a lot alike so that probably had something to do with it. As far a music goes the only changes that have been made are the additions of new music which are expected with an Adult Contemporary format.
