Whats Going on in Glens Falls?

RED ALERT! RED ALERT!

The folks at Pamal-Glens Falls are starting to lose people like Infinity dumps Oldies stations!

The PD of Froggy leaves back in February to take a better position with Clear Channel in Poughkeepsie...

And just announced to the staff in the past few days...The PD of WKBE (100.3 The Point) announces his departure to do mornings/PD of WCQL-Glens Falls. Things must be really bad on Everts Avenue that their PD has to leave for greener pastures...with ENTERTRONICS?!?!

Put this on top of the PUTRID sound of WENU FM (Hey Boys, time to put those 80 year old jingles to rest)...And then the downward spiral of Froggy (who put this new PD in charge anyways?!?!)...This cluster is starting to go belly up! Bad thing is that no changes will be made to the cluster since they just had a huge May sales-wise...

Programming wise? Watch the Point take the same path that Froggy has gone down and become a former shell of itself...

Bring back the days of Bob Barrett, Jackie Donovan, John Pratt, Justin Clapp, Rolly Merrill, and everyone else that once made this whole cluster a nice change for GF radio...Seems like we are taking a step back now!

And you forgot the resignation of Stacy Rogers of Albany Broadcasting!

Agreed, that was the lineup that worked not only on the air but for the community.

Here's the reality check(list)

Barrett: WAMC - making the money he deserves (and doing some fun stuff at Entertronics oldies outlet) Vox burned him out and paid him peanuts.

Donovan: All over CC Albany Stations, Director of on-air traffic, plastered all over WGY. Like Barrett, making the cash she deserves. Well known Vox blowout to save cash.

Pratt: As posted above, off to WCQL (he'll do well) but really should be in a larger market. Pamal tried to keep him on the cheap, that doesn't pay the bills.

Clapp: Made the move to CC Poughkeepsie. Certainly making more than Vox ever paid him.

Gee, and where is the GM from Vox that made the decisions to cut back, not pay well and basically quash the airstaff? Last we heard, in the mountains of Mass trying to find the Berkshire Spur!

Well now. I was referring to a "he" so you are already off the mark. As far as your talents, etc. Perhaps they would be of more use to you if you spent time looking for a full time gig and less bashing your former company.

7 STATIONS IN AREA/COUNTY=>VOX OWNS 5 &
2 ARE FULLY STAFFED OR AUTOMATED.

WHO EITHER ARE OR WERE IN RADIO!
IF I CANNOT; THAN I WAS MISTAKEN!

RADIO WISE,
ANOTHER FULL TIME GIG WOULD BE EASIER
TO ACQUIRE IF MY AREA WEREN'T
MONOPOLIZED BY VOX RADIO GROUP!
