What's going on in South Bend?

Moving WAOR to 95.7 will be the final nail in the coffin for Classic Rock in South Bend. 95.7 is based out of Nappanee and is a rimshot signal at best in South Bend. Forget about picking it up in Niles (it's original city) at all. WHY would Fed Med do this? South Bend will be left with NO Classic Rock station because you can't pick up 95.7 in any buildings, just in your car. I live near Michigan City, Indiana and would listen to WAOR all the time, no longer....our local FM is 95.9.

So, with this in mind.... Artistic Media, here's your chance:...reclaim your Classic Rock format on 97.7FM since your signal penetrates the South Bend market better than 95.7FM does.....just a thought....and possibly a good money maker since WAOR will no longer be a player in the market.

I agree with you about WAOR and 95.7 is a far south east signal for South Bend. I disagree with you on WZOW, I wish they would simulcast the current WZOW format on 102.3 so people in La Porte/ Michigan City can hear WZOW! I think it sounds great with the new rock and I wish they would just put that back on 102.3, but I do understand what you are saying about WAOR moving away from SW Michigan.

As for classic rock, you can already pick up strong signals from Chicago stations like 97.9 WLUP and 97.1 The Drive in Michigan City?

WRBR-103.9 is now advertising a big announcement coming Friday at 4PM. It will probably entail the announcement of Bob & Tom moving to WAOR and who the new WRBR morning will be.

The new WRBR morning show is Jason Lee & Kluck(both former WIRX, Benton Harbor, MI). Also WYPW(Power 95.7)'s website appears to be gone as well.

Denis did afternoon and morning radio in Kansas City and mornings in Omaha, Nashville and Grand Rapids. I believe W-Lite in Grand Rapids was his last job.

I don't know if anyone saw this coming or not but WTRC(1340-Elkhart) is simulcasting the 95.3 feed. Guess Hippie Radio didn't work out after all.

I noticed the new 95.3 MNC airs SRN News at the top of the hour. I cannot take this station seriously while they air that horrid SRN News!

What does everyone think of the new 103.9 WRBR morning show? I am not a Bob and Tom fan (I cannot stand them) so I don't mind at all.

Which stories have they missed? ???

Actually the station overall sounds pretty good. I've been listening. I just dislike the SRN Network news. Why couldn't they air ABC radio news or something?
