What's going on with Max in Norfolk?

Last ratings SUCKED! They fired Zak Tyler from the mornings, and FM99 continues to be the top rated rock station. Is Max Media finally going to wise up and flip it to something else? But what the Hell do you do? What is the format hole in Norfolk? ???

Max could go up against 96X...just throwing that out there ::)
I'm not sure Max Media wants to chase after these 12+ numbers... 1.7 1.7 2.0 1.5 1.8 ...though the station does better in the young male demos...

Just to let you know THe Format Hole in Norfolk Is AAA Music. 3 Stations are similar (92.9 The Wave,94.9 The Point, and 93.7 Bob FM) but Norfolk Hasn't had a good AAA station since The Coast in 2003. Maybe 100.5 WXMM should go that route.

I agree we need a AAA format station. The Tide is rather hard to pick up in Portsmouth, but I listen to it whenever I can. It's rather good. "Ain't nothin' but the Tide. Hometime Radio!"

Another hole is CHR/POP...it has been tried but on a weak 106.1 signal.
I thought The Zone was a good station when they were doing CHR/Mainstream. Weak signal and couldn't make up their mind which way to lean probably killed them... Sinclair is now tinkering with 96X... Not good...
