whats going on with Mega 101?

I'm not complaning about it or nothing but what's going on? Lately I noticed them playing more music in english. Music from lady gaga, pit bull and other people. They are starting to sound a lot like Hot but with a spanish language.....
 
Well what ever it is I hope they keep it up, more music in english and less spanish. They need to get rid of all that bachata, pop en español and stuff like that. More hip hop!!!!!
 
They should go head to head with the box, give them some real comp. The box is very stale now.

All her hits are or have been in heavy rotation on every CHR throughout Latin America.

Maybe I can attribute it to my quickly fading memory, but I don't remember The Colonel and Chuck Tiller working together before. Definitely not on the same show together, but even at the same station at the same time. Both of you guys have been around the dial over the last 30+ years, but I can't for the life of me remember if you've ever been in the same joint before. Has it ever happened?

Mr. Ric - You and me both. I couldn't believe mr.texmex actually said that. You might need to save an ER bed for me. I nearly choked as well!
 
The Colonel and I worked together at Smooth FM 98.5 and 103.3 KHYS and KJOJ-FM in 1996 and part of 1997. As far as the joint part.....ahem....
 
I started feeling this way ever since I made a new nick name from mr.texmex to chicano. After so many years off loving tejano, norteño, banda and stuff it all gets boring. When you're in my vehicle you will see that I'm always lestining to Hot 95.7 and once in a while Mega 101 (only when its an english song.) And even dough it sounds like I'm kissing up to you all, its all thanks to y'all!! You guys let me free from being tied up to (my roots) and made me explore other horizon. THANKS! Oh and going against The Boxx would be great!! As long as they keep the Mega name..

As long as the two of you have been in this market, it is amazing that your paths haven't crossed more times than that.

I started listening to Hot more since The Boxx just sounds like the same old, same old. It feels like nothing new or fresh is coming out of 97.9. So i actually took someone's advice on here and just added the hip-hop and r&b that i like on my iphone. Im only a little bit happier but that's it. As much as most of you hate it, The Boxx does need some serious competition, it makes a station sound a little better.
