What's going on?

Sometimes when I'm in Northern Williamson county (Liberty Hill) and do an FM bandscan, I hear radio stations from Dallas and a few rimshot stations up more north from the DFW. I heard KLNO, KZMJ, KLTY, KEGL (thought), KBFB, KBOC, KSPF, KJKK, WRR, KYDA, KDGE (least), KDMX, KVIL, KKDA-FM, & KRNB. Also for a few seconds, I heard a bit of radio stations from Houston and San Antonio.

I remember when there was a storm Sunday night I think, and on Monday morning I got some radio stations in Northern Bastrop County, like I got KWAA, KSTX, KSBJ, KTSW, KEDT, KRZU, KLLR, KROI HD, KIVY-FM, KMXR, KTFM HD but 94.1 La Que Buena was the audio, KRVL, KTBZ-FM, KLTY, KNDE HD, KKHH HD, KXXM HD, KAJA, KWTX-FM, KBXX, KBBT HD 1-2, KSPF, KLMO-FM, KISS-FM, KCYY, KONO-FM HD 1-2-3, KQXT-FM, a country station in 102.9 (near Texas, someone can tell me), KBEY, KZEP-FM, KKYS, KSMG-FM HD, KHCB-FM (kinda), KTKX HD, KVBH HD1-2, and KQQK HD but 107.9 the audio was KVLY.

That's an impressive list of stations logged from your location. Good for you.

Strangest one for me: I'm driving on a long trip. I'm just past Dodge City, Kansas and figured I'd hit my first button on the radio, tune back to 88.1 and hit scan to see what I get. The first button is 93Q in Houston. I punch it and loud and clear in stereo is 93Q. It was he Houston traffic report that made me realize I was hundreds of miles away from Houston. I dial back to 88.1 and hit scan. Nothing interesting below 92 FM but the radio stopped on 92.1. It was an oldies station and when the commercials aired, they were for Key West businesses. I received he station a good 15 minutes with no fading. I couldn't believe I was hearing a 3kw FM in Key West while driving midway through Kansas. Skip is an amazing thing.

Keep up the posts!
