He covers the Dodgers games as an analyst on the TV side whenever Vin Scully doesn't work any games on the East Coast roadtrips. The way the Dodgers have it set up is that Scully does a 3-inning radio/TV simulcast, then works the rest of the innnings exclusively on TV. The remaining innings on the radio side, Charley Steiner and Rick Monday work the game together, rotating between play-by-play and color. On the games Scully doesn't work, Lyons and Steiner do all 9 innings on TV, while Monday and former Dodger great Al Downing do the 9 on the radio.
