What's happened at Fisher? under the "new regime"?

Once upon a time, KVI had more of a claim to fame than just being the Right Wing's voice and the HOME OF RUSH LIMBAUGH.

They used to DO THINGS.
Hold events with high octane guest speakers from afar.

When Carlson started his gubenatorial campaign, Rush himself was at the event to introduce him.

After Iraq began, they used to hold at least one event, in fall, honoring the troops-- "Salute to America".

Poof...gone. Not this year.

Last year, for Christmas (Ooooh...I said the FORBIDDEN WORD for the greater Seattle area)..they had a live read show of "A CHRISTMAS CAROL" complete with the EQ's to make it sound like it was live radio theater from the 40's, and live read spots done on stage, and sound effects done in real time from side stage.
It was excellent.

This year?? Nada, bupkis.

For the last some years (four?) they've been holding a RENEW YOUR VOWS event at various exotic locations in Mexico...
Not this year.

Kirby used to go do remotes from the East Coast (Heritage Foundation, and other event venues) four or five times a year.
Nope..not this time.

Except for toward the top of the food chain, and Kirby/John, no one who was there during KVI's golden days of the mid/late 90's is still there.

One can only wonder if they're just polishing up the ole price tag again to put it up for a Jaunary White Sale.
