KFXR has been 100% owned by Clear since early 2001 when they bought it from Radio One. They had an LMA on it, but an LMA is similar to a lease; if you lease an apartment, you do not have any ownership interest... the landlord does.

look at 1130 KWKH, 1340 KAND, 104.1 The ranch [also on AM],
KKYX 680, All i think 50 KW stations [idk bout 1340 or the Ranch].

KAND, which has not been making any money for over a decade and almost went silent, is 1 kw day and night on a "graveyard" channel.

Make The 12 Towers the DAYTIME
pattern. Except with a new pattern and a 50 KW transmitter...

Stations do not go directional out of choice (there are maybe a half dozen exceptions in coastal areas) but to be able to operate on channels where other stations also live or next ot channels they must protect. There is no way for 1190 to change power or pattern, or they would have odne it 40 years ago.

And make the Current DAypattern the new night pattern except with a 5KW transmitter.

Similarily not possible.

That would go pretty far. Or Try to get KFXR a Clear Channel Status...

The real clear channel stations were allocated in the 30's. In the 70's, some were duplicated in gray areas, but you can not get clear channel staus today.

1) There is a way for 1190 to change the night pattern with WOWO downgrading and with they owning the Class A cochannel KEX...but CC has not jumped on the chance
2) possible now that WOWO has downgraded...it was looked at years ago before CC owned it but WOW and a CA allocation killed the idea. WOWO has lost its A status at night and the CA (Canada) 1190 was never built..YES, it could be done IF CC spent the money.
3) True....and it was not possible before but clear channel status is a thing of the past...890 has sooo many stations on it now, its pitiful for WLS.

You got that right. I remember when WLS would boom in.

I actually do like the classic country music on 1190 - old school that I am. It would be nice if they would do the interference agreement with KEX so we could actually pick them up beyond Royse City at night. Too bad CC can't see its potential.

You can pretty mcuh get them in all of Collin at night...
Dallas, Terrant, And Rockwall Counties also get almost uninterrupted
Service at night... other counties Im not so sure of...
An Interference Agreement would be even better... lets see then KFXR could atleast cover all of North
Texas at night...
That would make me :D
:D :D :D :D :D :D
