What's missing format-wise

I checked all the stations listed on the accessatlanta.com site to see just how the formats break out. I included broad topics such as religous I included everything station that was listed as doind something of a religous vein. The breakdown was a little suprising..
Religous 14
Spanish 10
News/talk 7
Rock 6
Urban 5
Oldies 4
Country 4
Top 40 3
Sports 2
Jazz 1

This is a generalized breakdown of commercial stations on that list by their listed format. The rock included everything from B98 and Lite to Dave and 99X becasue rock was used in the description. Some folks would not include all the stations on the list as Atlanta stations but I included all commercial AM and FM stations listed with the exception of those with unique formats (Disney, Variety etc).
The big surprise to me was the large number of religous and Spanish formats.

That doesn't surprise me in the least. What surprises me is the fact that there aren't more of each.
 
Most of those stations are weak signalled AM stations not making a huge impact in the market.

Waaaaaaaaay toooo many RELIGIOUS Stations. But you will find that in most every major market.

True: but many have a waiting list to buy blocks of time.
Many are debt-free, and printing money. How the owners sleep at
night is beyond me (as they beg for money from those who can least
afford it), but they DO make money.<P ID="signature">______________

Given the endless commuting issues that we seem to face here in THE ATL, I wonder if an FM Traffic-talk station would be effective and profitable.
