What's next for HOT?

The end of July is here. Hot 101.5 is still playing the same 30 songs or so.

Any one care to guess what Tim's next move is? The no commercial thing is a nice gimmick, but what will the stations draw be once they have to start airing commercials? When do you expect he'll have talent on air? Any guesses on potential hires?

Frankly, I'm sick of the station in its current state. He (Tim Clarke) better do something quick, or he's going to loose more folks.

Its going to take time. Tim Clarke still has duties at WAPE. Not to mention he is looking for air talent. All stations when they are new have burn-out. It takes time for a station to adjust its playlist.

Why do they need to do much, if anything, different?

Keep playing the hits more often, keep the sound fresh, make fun of MJ and FLZ's commercial load 24/7, be creative and bold with contests and marketing. Basically do what FLZ did to Q 105 20 + years ago... make the competition sound "old".

Maybe he can bring you in to "fix" it! :D :D :D

I wasn't saying it was broke. Simply wondering what folks thought was next.

As of today there are voices and commercials. Phoebe from 97X was on earlier and now a male. I like it, takes the focus off the fact that the music library isn't huge. I think if anything it's certainly going to be a pain in FLZ's behind.

Phoebe is now on Hot101.5 full-time. She announced on her twitter Friday was the last day she was on 97x. She changed her twitter name from @Phoebe97x to @RadioGirlPhoebe. http://twitter.com/RadioGirlPhoebe

That's great! I think she'll do awesome on Hot. I feel like after listening to her over the years Hot is a better fit for her. Plus, she's pretty good at dogging people, and that seems to be Hot's "thing."

where is corey dillon

She still lives in St. Petersburg according to her Facebook Page. Unemployed (Of Course) from last months flip. Still think Cox should give her a Job at WXGL. WDUV or even WWRM.

Funny, if you look at Corey Dylans Facebook page she is a Fan of The Power Pig and Bring Back The Point. Considering she had that Job at WPOI for 9 Years. Take it since she lost her job during the flip she won't fan Hot 101.5. Understandable.

Oh and 93.3 FLZ's Facebook fan is now a fan of Bring Back The Point. Guessing WFLZ is getting nervous over the competition with Hot. However I thank Hot would have to update its Library before FLZ will be seriously threatened.

BTW, Has The Point finally moved to the HD2 channel or is it still Star 101.5. Not like I have an HD Radio but am curious.

CONFIRMED: It's "The Star" on 101.5 HD2 (on my HD Radio, right now as we speak)...[TuneIn.com still reports that 101.5 HD2 is "The Point"]...
