What's on 1430?

I'm in Cumberland County. This afternoon on 1430 I heard a loop of 10-12 second song snippets. Mostly popular, soft top-40 range songs from the early 1970s back to the 1950s. Beatles, Johnny Cash, bunch of styles but nothing hard-rocking.
Listened for 30 minutes between 2:20 and 2:50. Never heard anything but the music snippets. Usually nothing's hearable on 1430. Today the signal was pretty strong for that time I listened, then it was gone when we cranked up the car.
It didn't sound like I've ever heard WDJS sound. Are they still gospel?
Doubtful it was WMNC or WRXO that strong in the daytime, unless one of those have changed from country or had a "let's play a reel" day.
It might have been WDEX, with the variety, but I wouldn't have expected the loop of no-commercial no-liner snippets from what I've heard of them lately.
Anybody have an idea what station it was?

Yesterday it was Spanish talk, sounded like a preacher.
Good thing I got other things to distract me, or this would reeeeeeeaaallllllly bother me. :)
