[....]

In San Francisco and thereabouts:

AM: KNBR (I'm suddenly a Giants fan), KCBS, KGO, KKGN, KLOK, KPIG
FM: KQED, KALW, KPOO, KPFA, KCEA, KUSF
FM: KFJC, 89.3 (3 stations, depending on where I am, KOHL, KPFB, or KLHI), KCSM, and 3 unassigned

KMEL 106.1-entire Bay Area(or when heard clear)
KSFM 102.5-when in Solano or Contra Costa County, and in Livermore or Dublin-comes in OK
KHYL 101.1-same as KSFM
KBZC 106.5-when in Fairfield or outer parts of Alameda or CC County-comes in OK
KHTK 1140
KCTC 1320-only in Fairfield
KNBR 680

AM:
680
740
810
860 (Since it's baseball season)
1380 (For A's baseball in the Central Valley)
1510
1590

FM:
89.7 (quick move to 89.5 when I'm in Sacramento & Central Valley)
90.1
91.5
94.1
103.3
104.5
107.5 (for when I'm over the hill in Santa Cruz)

Part of the reason for these presets is to spread things across the dial, allowing me to count the clicks up or down from a certain spot without taking eyes off the road. I always find these posts interesting, not that they really mean anything.

Dave B.

If I were in the Bay Area, my only preset would be 105.3. But, I am afraid that I would be the only one who would do that.

Since I split my time between Sacratormento Valley and SFO Bay Area, here is what my
presets look like:

AM: 650 (RiverCats baseball, talk), 680 (Giants), 740 (News), 810 (Talk), 860 (A's), 1550 (Oldies)
Non-baseball season: 650 and 860 are dropped for 1050 and 1530...

FM-1: 90.7 (KALX or KCSM repeater), 91.1 (KCSM), 92.1 (KCCL oldies), 93.1 (repetitive Classic Hits,
Pollack Pines), 102.1 (Classical KDFC, SFO or KCEZ Oldies, Sacto Valley), 103.7 (da Band, which also
gets repetitive)...
Sometimes I go to 89.5 KVMR (esp Saturdays), 96.5 KOIT, or 104.5 KFOG, which isn't what
it used to be...

FM-2 varies...I often scan the dial until something sticks and makes me stop the "scan" mode...

OK, I'll play

FM1 thru FM3:

KQED, KALW, KCSM, KPFA, Wild 94.9, The Wolf, KOIT, Kiss-FM, K-Fox, MOViN, Star 101.3, KDFC, KBLX, The Band, KFOG, Live 105, KCBS (KFRC-FM),and The Bone.

Some of these buttons I rarely push...when you have 18 FM presets, you have an embarrassment of riches.

AM:

KSFO, KNBR, KGO, KNEW, Green 960, and KPIG.

Most are unused, though I still tune in KGO from time to time. K-Pig in static filled low fidelity monaural? No - I really just have that pre-set to pay tribute to a great station. I'll stream it at home occasionally, but that's about it.
