Whats the Best Weekend Talk show in Atlanta

Another vote for Bill Handel on WSB and Kincade on ESPN. I also enjoy Car Tahk on NPR and I'm not mechanically inclined whatsoever. But the conversations are hilarious!

Oh, if we are including Public Radio into the mix, I would vote for This American Life and A Prairie Home Companion. Bill Handel and commercial talk radio is entertaining but it can get repetitive if you listen too often. As a joke a while back, a colleague emailed a summary of typical calls on talk shows. Nobody got this except those that listen to talk radio:

Typical Bill Handel call: Caller calls about any legal issue. Handel's response: "Go to the website and find a lawyer."

Typical Clark Howard call: "Clark, I received a phone call from someone stating that I won a million dollars. All they need is my bank account and routing number." Obnoxious sound effects in the background. Clark: "Don't give it to them. This is a scam."

Typical Dave Ramsey call: "Dave, we are so much in debt and are considering bankruptcy. What should we do?" Dave's response: "Get a second job and enroll in my Total Money Makeover class."

Typical Dr. Laura call: "My child hates me and acts up in school." Dr. Laura's response: "Be your child's mom and buy my book."

Typical Neal Boortz call: "Neal, I support the fair tax [or Libertarian Party]." Neal's response: Blah, Blah, Blah, John Linder, Blah, Blah, Blah, The next Fair Tax Rally, Blah, Blah, Blah, Baby Jesus, Blah, Blah, Blah..." Then Royal or Belinda chime in.

Typical Sean Hannity call: "Sean, we love what you are doing and support the fight for freedom." Sean's response: "Caller, you are a great American."

Typical Michael Savage call: Mike's typical response regardless of what topic the caller is discussing: "Immigration must be stopped. Put bombs on the border. Liberals are destroying this country. This is a sad world to live in."

There's even Leo Laporte...

Caller: "My computer has viruses and spyware on it and locks up all the time [or any kind of problem]." Leo's response: "The problem is Windows. Trash your computer and buy a Mac."
