What's The Deal With WAZN?

Occasionally, if I scan the AM dial. I notice that WAZN-AM 1470 is broadcasting an unmodulated carrier (this is during the daytime; I get no signal at all at night). It happened again this morning (Sunday, Feb 10th) except that there is a very slight, barely audible audio if you crank up the volume. WLYNgeneralmanager is constantly claiming that the WLYN/WAZN combo is flourishing mightily...but there doesn't seem to be enough dough to keep one of them on-the-air (I haven't noticed this problem on AM 1360).

Sometimes when Salem is working on 1150, WAZN has to go low power or off the air maybe this is the case this time.

If you ever notice it again I'm sure if you gave the office a call they would look into it.

When I worked there I always had a radio tuned to AZN just to keep an ear on it.

We recently added some additional switching capability. The simulcast audio levels are are a bit
inconsistent. It is a technical issue that is ongoing. Look for programming changes to coming to WAZN
shortly...

Thanks for your concern!
