What's The Deal?

Arbitron has released the latest quarterly report, and the 12+ list shows KOOL tied with KNIX with a 4.3 share, but KNIX is listed ahead of KOOL. KOOL, however, was way ahead of KNIX in the previous book and should have been listed 4th instead of fifth. It appears that Clear Channel has so much clout with Arbitron that whenever there is a tie, any Clear Channel station involved gets the benefit of the doubt. That can be crucial in making the coveted top five stations in a market.
Attention: seasoned PD's out there. What's the deal? Has this been the norm in past years or did it begin when the Empire took over?

To quote The Nearly Bald One...."Clear Channel owns everything" - including the alphabet!

Does our use of the alphabet on this board constitute grounds for a law suit by the cheap suits at Cheap Channel?? Should we be using the greek alphabet instead? Or do they own that, too?

Thanks Mark!

While it's a simple answer, it seems like a simplistic way for a multi-million-dollar company to do business.
On a slightly different note, the practice by KTAR of serving up the topic of imigration for breakfast, lunch, and dinner has netted the station a 3.0 share this book in the 12+ column. Does anyone have access to the 25-54 numbers for the station or dayparts?
