What's The Difference between "Sunny" & "The Breeze"?

Since I haven't been back up to the Tyler/Longview area since 95.3/102.3 became "The Breeze", I haven't had a chance to hear what is the difference between them and KOOI? Just curious. Who sounds better? And how has Sunny changed since Access-1 took over? Someone told me that they have shifted to more of a "brighter" AC (i.e. more currents & recurrents).

With Dave & Rhonda back on the air, it should help "The Breeze" a little, but KOOI's monster signal could make competing with them an impossible task. <P ID="signature">______________

"The Breeze" sounds alot like KOOI when Waller still had KOOI. Whoever told you that KOOI was "brighter" was right. Seems Access.1 has tightened up Sunny's sound. The Breeze sounds more relaxed...no talking over intros/outros, a tad softer music that Sunny now plays, etc.

I'm listening to 102.3 right now and it's sounding fine where I'm at.

You're right...KOOI's monster signal will make it difficult. But I'd like to believe that Waller wanted to make The Breeze into what Sunny was before the sale, minus the killer stick. And from what I've heard so far, that's a pretty fair observation.

Thanks for the info. I always liked KOOI (minus Delilah), when I lived and have traveled back up that way. I was disappointed to hear that they changed, but I'm glad that the format still lives on another station. I always liked Dave (although he wouldn't hire me when he was at KTYL). I'm glad to hear he's back on the radio. I hope they do give KOOI a run for their money.

No problem there, my friend. I will try to post an hour of KOOI sometime this week for you so you can see the difference.
