What's the latest on Russ?

The way the court system is....it could take years before he goes to court
As far as "best of" and live...is there any difference???

The last I saw was in the Dallas Observer sportatorium blog was that the charges are still pending. The evidence has to be presented to a grand jury and then they will decide whether to take it to trial.

Russ is rich, and this is America. It will all be handled very quietley, Russ will get a big fine and some sort of "community service" and it will never be talked of again. Very sad, but very true.

Very true, Lumpy. They won't lock up a guy who has a foundation that donates to the police department. That's probably why it took so long just to arrest him. He'll sneak by, pay a fine, maybe probation, get very little press, and it'll be squashed. The sad part is, if it was any of us, we'd be wearing that dopey orange and white jumpsuit sitting in a cell somewhere.

I hope Amy will go after some of his money. She deserves it. One can only imagine the hell she went through aside from this publicized case.

I don't get why this is this a monetary transaction? People in this country want money for everything! If he's guilty he should be punished by the penal system and if she was going through hell she should have gotten the heck out. They both deserve therapy.

Realistically, you're right though. Guilty or not, she'll get money, the lawyers will get money, Russ will get off and the circle of life continues.

What money? Amy doesn't have any right to go after his money because they were NEVER married.

Hey Outlaw, they are called "damages" for a reason. Marriage has nothing to do with it. A beatdown does (does hair pulling and kick qualify as a beat down?) On another note, there has to be more to the IRS thing. Does the "foundataion" come into play? Inquiring minds want to know...I want to know!

I agree, Isaid so.

Moreover, common law marriage is applicable here in Texas, not that that would make a difference.

Hopefully the court, as crooked as they are (money changes everything, right Cyndi) will teach Russ a monetary lesson as well as a legal one.

Only a coward would strike a woman.

He's a punk, plain and simple...we can hope the judge throws the book at em!

Can someone explain to me why everyone has already convicted him when we don't know the whole story? Yes, we have all seen the police report...but that's her side. There are other factors that might show that he didn't do a thing, and she's crazy. Anything is possible. So why? Is it because you don't like him and his ability to do well in radio?

Great, here we go again. ::)

UWF234...College Graduate has your number...spot on CG! The Police have all the evidence they need to convict Russ and on top of that the Tarrant DA has a 90% conviction rate. Even OJ simpson can't get away with violence forever...OJ's trial supposedly not going his way this time. If Russ gets off...it will be his money, ratings or corrupt police that get him off. Enuf said...wake up UWF234!

Civil suit for battery & mental anguish. You can sue for just about anything these days. Keeps all those lawyers who advertise on TV & on RMS in business

Can you say poetic justice if she used "The Dogs" to go after Mr. Martin? ;D

I thought the "Dogs" were his friends? Ha! I do not keep up with what is going on anymore anyway.

1-800-TheDogs are a RMS show sponsor. Does sponsor = friend? ???
