What's the latest on WHWH?

I apologioze if the answer is common knowledge, but I've been out of the loop as far as Trenton area radio goes lately. Is anything coming back to the 1350kHz frequency or is it dead forever?

Jeff they were back on and running RADIO TED (formerly on 1680) and also Leasing time to WBCB for football games, but I read on another message board they've been off the air for a few days. RADIO TED with drops from your least favorite radio guy. The one who's initials are PW who used to work in SC.

And WHWH is now back, with the Radio Ted format. Not sure exactly how long they were gone this time, but I first noticed them back on the air last night.

Just flipped it on and it's coming in nice and strong in Hamilton--which hasn't always been the case at night. Maybe there have been some upgrades or repairs.

Is TEDdy making any money?
I've never heard a spot on Radio Ted, so I would presume not. No idea what the business plan there is.

As I said in my original reply to Jeff's post, they lease some airtime to WBCB for high school sports. Other than that no. A source of mine says MultiCultural is waiting for someone to lease out the station, apparently Nassau does want to or can't afford to LMA it again as they were when they were MONEYTALK 1350.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...what a TOTAL waste of what was ONCE a mighty radio facility. Either use it or lose it.

1350 should have stayed dark pursuant to the terms of the 1680 license.

If MRBI found an angle that persuaded the FCC to re-evaluate the 5-year rule, then if successful, 1350 should opened to any qualified applicant that wants to operate. It should not be MRBI's by default.

Just came across WHWH today...does the TED content ever change? Odd not to hear a voice or ID, but nice to have country in Mercer Country available without interference.

Who's running the show now and any talk about what's to be in the future?
