If he owes more money than it's worth than I think there would be a lawsuit by Sony.

I heard rumors to that effect about six months or so ago. I actually hope it is true! Paul was incredibly stupid to advise Michael to buy song rights, as was proven when he outbid Paul for the rights to his own songs. However, he might have been doing Paul a favor, since Paul didn't have the rights to those songs while he was married to Heather Mills (another stupid decision on Paul's part!).

Can they make a claim against his estate? Most debts (credit card debt, student loans, etc.) die right along with you. I have heard that his kids stand to inherit millions, but then again, I hear that they might instead be saddled with all his debts. Seems to me they could sell off all the junk he bought, to help settle some of his debts.

A friend of mine bought the German bumper car ride at auction that Michael had at his Neverland Ranch. The whole thing is sitting right here in the area I live on four trailers waiting to be reassembled at a state fair by next year. I wonder if its value increased a bit this week?

If based on the explosion of record sales/downloads happening now, immediaely after his death, those debts may have just been settled.

I'm confused. I thought Paul tried to partner with Yoko to buy the rights to the Beatles songs?
