Texas Tuner thanks for the info, this checks out with the other translator that is owned (on paper) by Best Media, Inc of 15 E. North Street, Dover DE 19901. They are suppose to have a translator in Barker K217DJ 91.3 with 248 watts at 60 meters that per the coordinates would be in a persons backyard in a subdivision . That translator does not exist any longer either. Was suppose to relay KAFR 88.3 the Family Radio station from Conroe.
Looks like the two translators owned by Best Media in metro Houston can be scratched off the list of working stations. The Barker translator did exist for a short time as it put a powerful signal into The Galleria area, but they never carried any programming and it does not exist any longer at the given coordinates. They are licensed and not CP's according to the FCC.
Best Mesia owns 26 translators scatter around the country. There was suppose to be a third one in the Houston area in Kohrville, not too far off the Tomball Freeway on FM2928 near Boudreaux Road. The FCC never granted that Request a CP however, which had requested 107.9.
