What is parked on 94.1 that really belongs on 102.7? That's a clue...Is it the Jack Fm page but it’s been rebranded as Energy 94.1?
I wonder if connoisseur will do what they did in Dayton OH with Z93.7 and make 102.7 a classic pop complete with the classic bumpers and imaging. What is parked on 94.1 that really belongs on 102.7? That's a clue..

That's my guess. If so, I hope they remove the Rock tracksI wonder if connoisseur will do what they did in Dayton OH with Z93.7 and make 102.7 a classic pop complete with the classic bumpers and imaging.
"Pure San Antonio KTFM 102.7"...it'll be 1998 again (or 2015 when the calls were on 94.1 as "94-1 KTFM, Puro San Antonio.").What is parked on 94.1 that really belongs on 102.7? That's a clue...
If I was reviving the KTFM brand, I think I'd use the "Hot" handle since "Hot KTFM 103"/"Hot 103 KTFM" was its longest used brand under the calls.
They have one still in the building. Cluster Content Director Greg Martin worked at KTFM under multiple pseudonyms...Not sure if any of the old staff might still be available. Sonny retired about 20 years ago and wasn’t exactly a spring chicken when he worked at KTFM. Last I'd heard, Lorenda Rae was at a Christian station on the West Coast. I know she was also at KNFR 96.1 in Spokane roughly 30 years ago. I don’t remember much of the rest of the old staff at all.

I'll just standby and hope that Connoisseur turns it's attention further northeast and finds the courage to dump the Jack jukebox off of KOOI next.
Did the Jack branding and Howard Cogan voice go away? This is likely a "rebrand" as Lance mentioned earlier in this thread.
Either way, Jack has switched over to Christmas music as of noon today.
On KOOI, no. There are far better options for a 100,000 watt flamethrower than a lifeless jukebox. We only have two full C's here, Ryan. All the blood, sweat, and tears that were put into making 106.5 the "turn to" station in East Texas. You don’t like Jack?
Still there with the (since noon) Christmas music on KOOI. Both KTFM and KOOI take the same national feed, so my assumption is it would be the same in the Alamo City.Did the Jack branding and Howard Cogan voice go away?
Oh I thought that locally in San Antonio 102.7 was stunting with Christmas music. It appears the national Jack FM feed flipped to Christmas.Still there with the (since noon) Christmas music on KOOI. Maybe it will just be a rebranding to the original KTFM 102.7 but as a Mainstream Top 40. It would make sense since SA currently does not have one. That's interesting in and of itself. Jack used to pride itself as the one station that would never go all-Christmas. The Jack FM's in my area carry the national feed and are also airing Christmas music.
Not sure if San Antonio has a hole for the same format as WGTZ in Dayton with KONO doing classic hits extremely well. Then again, if you count Jack as classic hits, it has about 12 shares.
