What's up at 102.7 Jack-FM?

Remember when 102.7 Jack Fm was programmed locally? Alpha media took KJXK to the national Jack feed.

The way it was explained to me was that CBS had a group deal for Jack with SparkNet. So long as the station it was on met certain criteria, it was allowed to be programmed locally for the market. That, by the way, is also where your avatar originated; CBS was not required to use the standard Jack logo as part of its deal.

Border Media and Alpha were allowed to continue according to the terms of the original CBS deal until it expired. After that, it had to either work out another deal or go to the national format. Alpha took the national format.

Have it on my laptop in MP3 I use to do air checks with the device I had.

It would be really cool if 102.7 Bob FM does a 9 at 9 like Austin's Bob FM. 9 favorite songs from one of Bob's favorite years. That way if 103.5 Bob FM out of Austin plays a year that wasn't so good, I can shift to 102.7 Bob FM in San Antonio and see what they are playing on their 9 at 9.
