Whats Up At 95.7 The Party Denver?

http://www.957theparty.com

This Rhythmic AC has always been pretty agressive on playing Hip Hop and a fair amount of currents, but now the music mix is much more current-based, and titles by Pink, Kelly Clarkson, and 3 Oh! 3 have been added.

Is the station headed towards CHR/Pop? A Rhythmic CHR?

Denver's source for CHR/Pop is Hot 107.1, but that station doesn't have a good metro-wide signal.

its probaly gonna go the same direction as Movin 99.7 in SF.

That's a good observation Alex - Movin 99.7 San Francisco's evolution to CHR/Pop almost seems complete. This morning they even played Shinedown's "Second Chance".
As for 95.7 The Party, it turns out there have been rumors floating around since late April that the station will go CHR. 3 Oh! 3 now appear to be in heavy rotation - played almost every hour at the station.

I miss the Rhythmic AC Movin 99.7 it sounded great.

Now Movin still sounds good but they play the same new songs every hour. I like that many Wild 94.9 djs have moved to 99.7 making it more known and out there.

I wish they played more music from today and some old school like they were doing just a few months ago.

I don't miss the Rhythmic AC sound at all. I think San Francisco's been long overdue for another CHR/Pop station. Rhythmic leaning or Dance leaning CHR/Pop stations are usually the way to, going as far back as the mid 80s sound of 106 KMEL, the late 80s sound of X-100, or the late 90s sound of Z-95.7.

BTW, over in Denver it appears that 95.7 The Party also just added Katy Perry's "Waking Up In Vegas".

AAHHH!! Tuned in just in time, too!

Why can't our Movin here in Phoenix be like this??!?!?

Actually, why can't any stations in Phoenix be like this... especially in the mix...and at noon?!!?
Just waiting to see what else happens throughout the day on this 99.7 station..

Movin 99.7 plays old school at noon. KMEL does too.

there is also the 5 oclock happy hour with St. John (was at 94.9).

you can podcast them online too!

Movin 99.7 is my new favorite station (in addition to Power 96 in Miami). I wouldn't mind moving to either places, JUST to have a station like those. It would make it worth it to live in a place where I know that hurricanes or earthquakes exist. . . ..I guess I could just stream online, but it is not the same as listening live, anywhere and anytime I want!

Party 101.5/105.3 in new York would do just as fine with me, too. No longer too interested in KMEL type formats these days.

WiLD 106.1 seems interesting, but they currently (and for quite some time) do not have a website, so I can no longer tell what type of stuff they might do now. Last time I was able to check it out was New Years Eve, Dec 31, 2007. None of their stuff displays on yes dot com, and it took a bit of effort just to find the KWWV call letters for 106.1 alone.
