What's up at 96.5 The Mill?

Morning show host and afternoon host/PD were let go. Is there a format change coming? Anyone hearing anything?

I don't see the PD Bob Bronson on the Mill's website but he is still on WZID's website. Are you sure Saga has let him go, or is he just no longer on the Mill?

Oops .. my bad. B. Bronson was NOT the PD at the Mill, Alex James was. Also, Adam McCune was let go. Gotta love those budget cuts. 2 PD's in 2 years at The Mill? Who's next?

Unfortunately for radio in New Hampshire Bronson-Froding was not let go yet. :)

Jeff Lawrence was not on today either even though his picture is still on the website. This makes me think that the whole airstaff got canned. Something is deffinitely up at 96.5 The Mill and it doesn't smell pretty. What's left for a format that hasn't all ready been done

He could be just having a day off, or be ill. Heard he was spared. Sure hope so.
Listened today and they appear to be jockless.
My guess: they'll have Heather and possibly other ZID jocks cut some voicetracks and leave the MediaTouch on autopilot.

This is very sad, more local jocks canned... what is radio coming to?

With that said, since this seems to be the trend now.. I wonder if maybe, since the already have a dish... they will put Dial-Global's Classic Rock or Classic Hits format on the Mill?

Or, maybe... the "Hits NOW!" format from D-G, they already have running on the translators?

The Mill seemed to be doing pretty well 12+. anyone know about 25-54? or billing-wise?

When Toyota announces it is shutting down all but one factory, it's very ugly out there.
Radio is a weeny-teeny piece of the pie.

No matter what you do for work, it sucks to lose your job.

New voice and new promos heard today, couldn't listen long enough to get a name though. Maybe satellite programming?

Hmmmm, one of the scenarios I thought possible. It makes sense. They already have DialGlobal running the Hits NOW! On the translators... and it's "more cost effective" (depending on the spot agreement they made with DG) to run another format on the bird.

Will Jeff Lawrence stick around and be live? Or is he indeed gone as well?

Sad to hear the Labor Dept. jacked estimates of 2008 to well over 3 million. This is a very tough time, hope these guys land on their feet!!

Funny..you think they coukld just run it like a jukebox with a few voicers thrown in. They have the automation equipment in place. Music is all there.

$$$$

Maybe they needed the equuipment else where

It does look like the entire airstaff got let go this includes Jeff lawrence. Yes it correct that WMLL is using Dial Global Classic Rock format from the bird. I believe that this is same format that Jeff Gonzer WZLX was PD for when it was under WestWood One before Dial Global bought all of WW1 24 hour formats

Jeff's Facebook page says he is still at the Mill...but doesn't specify in what capacity. He also has been doing PT work at Oldies 103 according to the same source.
