What's Up at Cleveland's Sound

First their PD/morning co-host leaves, now I don't hear their their evening host anymore (unless he's on vacation). I hear the guy from WJCU who did weekends is gone too.

Are they going through financial problems, or did they decide directions again. Kim was the third PD at the station, and that's not good with less than a year on the air. Something needs to be done.

The music format is all over the place. Archie sucks. It is too hard to listen to him acting like God. Possibly the financial woes is true. Maybe the end is sooner than 2015. The fun with the frequency is over for a millionaire business mogull.

This station is a toy while the owners tread water waiting to cash it out in 2015 for the digital TV license on Channel 44 that analog Channel 6 will legally be required to convert to. There will be no more 87.7 (Channel 6 analog audio) after that.

The former employees mostlikely got fed up with the fact that the station is a placeholding toy and not a serious operation.

My 2009 Hyundai gets 87.7.......But it is unbearable to listen too.. Us radio pro's know of the stations future...All I can say is quoting simon and garfunkel...Where have you gone Ravenna Micelli?????? The way local radio has become...I am trying to pick up Radio Moscow....Just for relief from corporate mayhem. As far as Archie goes...His voice may sound best in a Wendy's drive thru speaker. Not radio. All in all V107.3 is rolling in its grave sort of speak. Buried next to 107.9 the end. John Gorman Help Us!!!!! Soon!

I like most of the format but I see no strategic value in playing Michael Buble, of all things. How does that fit?

WKYC just did a story on 87.7. Interesting to see what they are doing with the station and how staffers are talking up the format.

From the WKYC story "A lot of people call us Frankenradio because we came out of nowhere ... ". That's not why it's "Franken Radio". The original term,
"Franken FM", as most of us already know is because they are using analog TV channel 6 to put the station on the FM dial. I also notice they showed a quick shot of their RDS, and it was obviously stuck on "Because The Night" by Patti Smith!, LOL.
