What's up at Cumulus?

I sure hope "The guy on the radio" is right and Cumulus sells the Melboure group. If the new owners are smart they would get rid of the dead wood on the air now - and re-hire the folks that made those stations rank in the top 3 every book.

I meant both. Is that all I can come up with? This is a discussion forum not a fight on the playground.
When you use phrases like"run by a bunch of yo yo's that kinda reminds of the suff I said in 2nd grade on the playground!

I believe the local Managment does the best they can with what they have...as does most radio stations.

Most major decisions in CLear Channel or Cumulus are not made at the local level anyway.

You're right about that. Except for the job uncertainty, I would guess that the current Cumulus management would welcome a change but of course they would not say that publicly for understandable reasons. Cumulus has let their top two stations run into the ground for no reason other than the company is doing so poorly nationally. There is no reason this had to happen. I don't think current "management" is necessarily to blame because there's only so much you can do to buck the company and still keep your job. Everybody understands that. But there are some very tangible things that could and should be done at the local level that used to get a lot of community support.

Cumulus is about to get their ass handed to them in court. There is a class action law suit being handled by a big law firm in California / with offices in New York - they are representing a former Cumulus employee that the Dickey boys pushed to hard and he is fighting back - The Suit has to do with over time pay and Federal and State Employee Law...............Many more former and current cumulus slaves are joing the suit. For more details follow the blog at Inside Music Media. Cumulus Employees who have any self esteem are jumping ship at a rapid rate.

R.I.P WHKR's Morning Show- Callahan and Michelle being replaced by syndicated John Boy and Billy starting Monday, 5/24. Michelle to take over middays and Callahan afternoon drive.

Hey Paper Bill Bokunic, why didn't you get the job? ;)

Never wanted to be on air, kind of a strange question. why would a Sales Manager want a morning show? Bruce Radio Daze Maduri?

Bill Bokunic, General Sales Manager for the Cumulus Melbourne Market, is leaving Florida to assume the General Sales Manager Position for the Entercom Cluster in Indianapolis.

So when is JB&B coming? Didn't CUMULUS try to pick them up a couple of years ago for Pirate 95.9 when WHTQ dropped them? And what happens to Rachel if Michelle and Jim take the dayparts?
