I thought Todd Chance's dismissal from U93 was budgetary. Why is Casey Daniels adverstising for an AM Drive host?

That's how AMP does it. Wonder who will be the foolish person to apply

When someone leaves a radio station, you can gaurantee that the reason given publically....is not the real reason.

Otherwise there would be an incredible outbreak of people with "philosophical differences" and lots of jocks "going back to school" and wanting to "spend more time with their family"...and finally, positions eliminated due to "budgetary reasons".

They'll get someone good to replace him....they always do.

Tommy Franks was supposed to have been Todd Chance's assigned replacement. That lasted all of two weeks until he said see-ya-later and left for Saginaw. Demote the guy, then make him wake up at 3 or 4 in the morning; you can't tell me they didn't see that coming.

Lots of swing-staffing happening between U93 and WZOW. Marko, Casey, and Bernie are all covering shifts on both stations. Woody is the only personality from WZOW that I haven't heard on U93, vice versa for Katie Cruz. Weren't they short-staffed like this just a couple of years ago? Seems like when it rains, it pours over there.

man all this stuff seems so familiar

oh that's right

its happened at every AMP station

build it up....break it down....build it up....

Speaking of U-93. Mark Durocher is back in the market, sort of.

WIRX PD Shelly Morgan has resigned.PD ROBB ROSE gives up WCNF duties to replace MORGAN as PD at WIRX. Rose will also continue his duties as PD for sister Country WYTZ.
Replacing ROSE as WCNF PD/morning co-host is MARK DUROCHER, most recently PD/mornings at WLRX and of course WNDV back a few.

Trust me, it's always budgetary with AMP. Art Angotti comes in to a market and screws it up to a point where the revenue is so bad they have to make cuts. The people with the biggest salaries are the one's to go, unless like Casey Daniels, they are willing to take on multi-tasking and make no more money. Then they hire again at lower wages. It happened in Fort Wayne, they forced Dave Michaels out, then J. J. Davis out. The skeleton staff there now, two full timers for two stations are being overworked. If you see an ad for AMP, run away!

Maybe they would be better off spending their time finding the highest bidder, rather than finding more people to just turn around and let go.
