WHAT'S UP AT WILD 104? IN THE LAST YEAR OR SO, THE STATION SOUND HAS DEGRADED, MUSIC IS ALL RECURRENT, AND NOW RYAN BOMBARD IS GONE, RILEY IS GONE, KJ IS GONE, KYERSTEN IS GONE, THE MUSIC ROTATION IS BAD,(TOO MANY STATIONS PLAY AC) SOMEONE FILL ME IN HERE!!!!!
 
We'll...I am not gonna say much as I put 5 1/2 years of my life into Citadel...And I don't burn my bridges....All I can say is the only time Wild Sounds CHR to me is the nights...Other than that...It sounds very unfocused....I work @ WINK 106 in Elmira...Might be a smaller market...But that stations is a very we'll layed out CHR format...It's focused and it sounds good....Scott Free has done an awsome job with turning that station around and Making it sound good.

Well. Let's do some figuring out. CC of Binghamton will be sold (if not already)...They will be looking to cut costs, and trim staff..Why not??

Yes, CC Binghamton has been sold to GoodRadio.TV, LLC. Louie G is under contract.

Yes, he may be under a contract, but do you think for a moment they won't buy out the contract?? C'mon!! He'll be let go under the new management.
 
WILD does sound terrible. I can tell you Louie would be much better off at Citadel then again did they not just merge.
I doubt Tejay would ever return to CC. I understand he is very happy at Q107.

Any station would be fortunate to get TJ..If I owned a station, I'd grab him!
 
I HAD A CHANCE TO VISIT ELMIRA FOR A FEW DAYS, I AGREE THAT WINK 106 IS A GREAT SOUNDING CHR STATION. THE JOCKS SOUND UPBEAT, THE IMAGING IS FRESH SOUNDING, THE AUDIO IS ORBAN ADJUSTED RIGHT, 94 ROCK SOUNDS GOOD TOO!! WILD 104 NEEDS MAJOR WORK!!! C'MON, THERE IS ONLY 1 STATION CLAIMING TO BE "THE NUMBER ONE HIT MUSIC" STATON. SO BE IT. DUH!!! OTHERWISE GO BACK TO OLDIES AND FLIP THE WHALE BACK TO TOP 40!!! (WAAL WAS A GREAT STATION IN ITS PRIME!!)
 
Wink 106 is a very focused CHR radio station....I am glad to be the Night Jock up there now...Our great team makes a great radio station that and the correct following to the music imaging and structure of the whole station!
 
Wild needs RHYTHMIC MUSIC...I don't understand how they're the only top 40 in the market and they are basically a HOT AC station...Lets face is, rhythmic tracks are currently dominating CHR right now.
 
Hi, my name is Rosemary and I was a finalist in the Wild 104 Sidekick Showdown. I don't understand why I didn't win. The Showdown totally changed when Riley left. I didn't think it was a good sign that other DJ's left the station recently, either. I mentioned to Matt that things needed to be "wilder" if they wanted to be true to "wild in the mornings". It was awesome to meet Kathy and Wally...I've been a fan since the WAAL was the hottest station in town and I was in high school. As someone who has lived in Nashville and NYC I can verify that Bingo radio is LAME! I wanted to perk it up, was told I had an awesome voice and great ideas on how to boost ratings...I guess it wasn't enough. I don't think Wild 104 will be #1 in the Southern Tier for very long. Anyone need a "great voice"?
 
Wild has never been the southern tier's #1, when Star was a CHR, they had ratings of 18+ shares and were the #1 station, no matter the format for many years... Wild is just the "#1 hit music station" and well that is easy, they are the only "hit music station" in the area, even if they are more Hot A/C (especially during the daytime).
 
Well, if I remember didn't Wild make Star flip to AC...Anyways, when KJ was in the controls that was a decent station and for their signal strength they did well. Ever since he left for Scranton it's taken a complete dump. When I go home it's difficult to even listen.
 
Star was always leaned very Adult/Rock as a CHR anyway... Star walked away from the CHR without a battle, as the sales department never liked the few hip hop and such artists anyway... I remember after Wild was on, it was very frustrating as a Star jock... many of us worked very hard for years at putting a decent product out there and poof, we walked away from all we had been doing that had made the station so successful in the firstplace. I was gone by the time the official "re-branding" happened, though it was well on its way before that.
 
Even when I go home it's difficult to hear Wild and Star. they both suck as far as I'm concerned. Satr should of stayed Top 40, now they are just another station.

The Whale rocks...For a classic rock station, they're jocks are live anmd upbeat and seem like they really want to be there..GREAT JOB, though I miss the Whale "Hot streaks!"

Even when KGB came on and announced they were the real (cough) rock station, they went to another rock format and left the whale alone. Smart move!

And ya wonder why they are selling off Star...

As far as Wild is concerned, they should be called Mild 104! LOL..
 
OK, SINCE I STARTED THIS THREAD(SEE DATE), RILEY IS GONE NOW(APPARENTLY THEY DON'T CARE TO "KEEP" THEIR GOOD EMPLOYEES), ROSEMARY DIDN'T GET IN, THE OMNIA PROCESSING SOUNDS BAD STILL(AGC AND OR COMPELLOR NOT SET RIGHT, (GO BACK TO ORBAN), (EXAMPLE WAAL SOUNDS GREAT)--- STILL, THE ROTATION STILL LEANS RECURRENT/AC (HEY MATT, EVEN 93Q SOUNDS BETTER SINCE YOU'VE BEEN GONE), SAME STALE BORING BUMPERS/JINGLES FROM APRIL 2002. IT NEEDS TO SOUND EXCITING AND CURRENT!! THIS IS THE ONLY STATION IN TOWN CLAIMING TO BE THE HIT MUSIC STATION, SO BE IT!!! MATT/MARYBETH, DRIVE UP ON INGRAM HILL AND TUNE TO 95.7 (BHT TRANSLATOR), LISTEN TO KJ DURING THE DAY, LISTEN TO THE STATION ROTATION/IMAGING. THEN TUNE INTO 106.1 AND LISTEN THERE. BINGO. YOU ARE ALLOWING TOO MANY CHOICES IN THE AREA BY LEANING A/C!!! WE HAVE ENOUGH!! STAND OUT!! BE CHR AND LEAN RHYTHMIC!! TRY ROCK IF YOU HAVE TOO!! GET AN EXCITING AND INTERESTING MORNING SHOW!! WE CAN'T MOVE BHT AND WINK HERE SO GET OFF THE POT AND REVAMP IT NOW!! (YOU DON'T NEED CONSULTANT TO FIGURE THIS OUT GUYS!!! ANYWAYS, I LOVE THIS AREA AND I JUST FEEL THAT SOME STATIONS ARE NOT PUTTING THE EFFORT IN TO MAKE THE AREA SOUND INTERESTING. IT DOESN'T REQUIRE A BUDGET APPROVAL FOR THAT.
