Whats up with Barnes? He sounds different to me.

So as I'm flipping through the dials over the past couple of weeks, I keep stopping on Dave.FM (of course it must have been the Stoli incident that makes me tune in), and I stick there, as the male voice on it just doesn't sound like Barnes. The first day, I thought it was a fluke or perhaps a substitute, but that same voice continues.

I post this because I've been listening to Barnes since the early Morning X days and I'd say I'm very good at recognizing his voice, though lately, it has seemed much deeper than the past. I also tried to see if this male voice would ever call himself Barnes or if Firfer would call him such, however, this hasn't happened.

Could they be mixing his voice differently? Could we have a stealth fill in? Or am I just imagining things.

I would imagine this would impact Q100 if a conspiracy was going down.
 
I believe you heard producer Alan. Barnes was not in today or a coule of days last week. As he said "I was hosting an Adidas or some other sports company party at the U.S. Open."
