What's up with B's Stream

B94 is not streaming today. Instead its the feed from 93.7 The Zone, HD2 Comedy Channel. What's the deal? I live outside the area and cannot pickup the Bee any other way so I always tune into the stream in my office. I sure hope this is a mistake of some sort.

Another thread had Flick from Kiss in Youngstown headed to the B. Does this coincide with what your "inside person" told you?

I had heard the name tossed around as a possibility. As far as I know, the only sure fire deal that's tied up is the morning lineup and I plead the 5th on that one. You will just have to wait and see

Didn't discredit me with that piece of info. Like I said, I have no idea but I heard rumors that Flick was definately in the running for a position. If Flick was seen at Matrix, guess they made an offer, or are kicking the tires around to see what they think. Until I hear otherwise or I hear someone cracking the mic, I'd rather not talk about things I honestly don't know for sure

I really don't think that he would leave his full-time gig to have CBS "kick the tires" to see if they like him. It just wouldn't make sense.

If he was working the crowd at Matrix for the B, then he is with the B.

And hopefully if he is still employed in Youngstown, they don't find out about him being "with the B" last week. Shall we say "noncompete"? As far as I know, if you work at any CBS or CC station, they most definiately have non competes, and some have even been fired for "hangin" with other stations.

I wanted to read about the B Stream. How did shilton's link turn into a thread about Flick in your reply? Just woke up and on my first cup of coffee so maybe it will eventually make sense. ;D

Well, the time is 2:34 AM on 11/14. Flicks myspace has been changed and the main site no longer has him listed under jocks, but if you click the direct link, his page is still on their server.

Wonder how he got out of the non compete? Maybe they wanted rid of him out there?

Glad I am out of the radio business, it is pretty much a joke nowdays, and anyone can be a star.

uhh, well for one, Youngstown and Pittsburgh are totally seperate markets! There is a bit of coverage overlap, but thats mainly in Lawrence County, which isn't part of the Ytown OR Pittsburgh metro survey area

He also may not even have been under a non-compete, who knows.

CC Ytown got hit by the budget axe last week, I'd say Flick got out just in time (note: he hasnt been on the air in Youngstown for about 2 weeks)
