What's Up With Cumulus Montgomery?

Man, things look bad from the outside of Cumulus Montgomery. They must be going broke printing up new phone rosters deleting all the former employees. My sista tells me that now the Promotions Manager is leaving going across town to be the Promotions Manager for Bluewater. What's up with that?

Man how things change. Seems like I don't recognize any of the names or faces over there any more. I just went to the sales page on the website and the only person I recognize is Brent Markwell and I heard he's leaving this month as well.

Not what I remembered back when Mr. Lowder had it.

What's the problem?
 
You are seeing the results of massive consolidation. It was a bad idea. Smaller markets are seeing the reemergence of private ownership, and this trend will continue and will soon spread to larger markets as well. This is a good thing for radio, whose future is actually very bright, the doomsdayers predictions to the contrary notwithstanding.
