What's up with KLTG "The Beach" Corpus?

What's the deal with "The Beach 96.5" in Corpus Christi. A couple of months ago they moved from their Modern/Hot AC sound to more of a CHR sound. Now while listening tonight online and then checking the song log, they seem to have shifted back towards Modern AC and dropped the CHR type songs they had been playing. That sucks. The station was sounding great (much better than crosstown KKPN "Planet 102.3"). Did the ratings drop or what ?(who knows since the Corpus book has been embargoed forever). Did people really prefer the lame Modern AC format over the much more fun, CHR leaning one? Anyway, just wondering if anyone knew what was up with this station? I know I sure miss the way they were sounding a month or two ago.

It's gone down hill ever since they lost Kiev and then they lost their best daytime personallity and program director Chris Roberts. It just continues in a downward spiral. They gave up experience and profesionalism for mediocrity.

right move was probably to go after planet. nothing says "i kick ass" like going after lame station with syndicate am drive and 1 dj. now lets all enjoy more lady gaga. thats why i quit listning to beach, they stopped playing lady gaga 80 times a week. what a-holes. dont they know good radio when they hear it - over and over and over and over and over and over. those swell jingles made all the lame chr sound so much better. c101 and beach were best stations in area. i should stress the word WERE. was in c.c. in april and beach was trash.
