Okay......
First off, I was led to this site to hear Judy Torres' new freestyle track "Hell No". HOWEVER, they have also put up a couple of CURRENT tracks in there as well (AnnaGrace, Armin Van Buuren, Laurent Wolf, Kraak & Smaak). Which is kinda odd since 'KTU DOESN'T PLAY ANY OF THESE TRACKS ON THE AIR! It's not anywhere in the rotation!
Which makes me wonder what is going on over there because I am baffled! 'KTU did very little with current dance music when they did their rhythmic format from 1996 - 2006. It was more Bee Gees, Donna Summer, freestyle from the late 80's and early 90's with maybe ONE track that was "current" (that is in "quotes" because at times they were late on those adds).
Is Pulse 87 causing this effect?? I think soooooo!!
My one thought.....if 'KTU were to add more currents, would the station sound like it did back then? Because if that is the case, 'KTU would be lucky to get a few listeners because now, dance music fans know better. It wasn't like in 1996 where people were just happy to hear something. Pulse 87 brought out a "brand" of dance music that had been missing for quite awhile. Unless 'KTU went "full blown" with currents, I don't think there will be that increased of a listenership; perhaps some due to Pulse's signal issues.
So.....what's going on???
