WHATS UP WITH LATINOVIBE?

They dropped from 1.6 share in the summer rating period to a 1.2 for the fall. They peaked at 2.1 in the Spring period and have fallen ever since. Should be interesting to see what their personnel changes do to the current quarterly Ratings.

And no, I have nothing to do with the station. My wife listened to them every morning until they released MG. Now they're off her playlist. (fickle woman ;) )

I met some people that used to work there back when they hit that 2.1 in 12+ in the spring book which was pretty damn respectable for a "format" like that anywhere in the country. At that time every other station like it averaged about a 1.2 across the entire country including Clear Channel properties. And from what I understand since then, they've fired the PD, AM Drive, PM Drive, Nights and their part-timers all left the station to go across the English side of the street to JamZ. 95.1's playlist is way off base according to many women across the valley that used to listen to them and it seems they are in a unrecoverable ratings tailspin. This might only get worse for them in the upcoming winter book if they keep loosing female listeners in buckets like they are now. 2008 should prove to be quite a year of change for many stations in the Valley. :'(
