What's up with Lieberman?

I noticed that too. I do remember many times saying if he didn't get donations the blog would go away - although he was saying that for many years. Hopefully though he's okay.

New month, new year, still no Lieberman. The people at KTVU, KGO, KNBR, and KCBS (his favorite targets) are probably rejoicing.

I'm hoping he's OK. Wellness check?

I hope he is ok too. I don't watch his youtube videos becuase I liked it better when he didn't have them. Would only read the comments. He got boring becuase he has nothing new to say. Same stuff different day.

He actually has been gone since Oct 3rd Maybe it was easier to vlog but he is not good at it. Sometimes the written word is best. His problem is there isn't enough going on with Bay Area media to justify more than one post a week. As a result it is the same thing over and over again. He loved KNX-LA radio while hating KCBS. In his absence KNX overnights now come from KCBS with no one in LA. Bet he didn't see that coming.

There's a lot to cover in Bay Area media versus what Lieberman was yakking about. Not everyone listens to sports radio. The behind-the-scenes drama at KGO-TV and KTVU apparently wasn't connecting. Even being an occasional acquaintance of Frank Sommerville wasn't helpful to Rich. And the whole Ronnnnnn Owens family "scandal" wasn't quite as titillating (he'd love that word) as he expected. Donations? He wanted donations for his drivel!

As Rich might have posited, he has/had the charisma of a Soledad Sonic.

Maybe he decided to give Fresno a try since he lamented so many on-air personalities sounded like they just hopped off the bus from Fresno.

Seriously, I hope he's okay. Anytime I clicked on a video he sounded like he had a never-ending cough.

Just remember…you can’t spell Fresno without “no”.
And you can't spell Bakersfield without "bake".

I made many a visit to Fresno, Modesto, Bakersfield and the like looking for prospective talents for LA, SF or San Diego and felt it was like taking a vacation in Purgatory. I preferred to look for talent in Oxnard, Santa Barbara, and Monterrey. "Coast" vs "roast".

No kidding!

One time, we were driving home from LA, and our car had some trouble coming over the grapevine. We made it up 99 to someplace in Bakersfield, and barely got out of there intact.

All I can say is this: Don't break down in Bakersfield, or you may never leave.

Yeah, but it's a dry hell.

I actually used that moniker while I was commuting to the West Palm Beach (Florida) area to assist my parents in their final years. To me, South Florida IS Purgatory, complete with the humidity, hurricanes and stupid people. There are a few folks (no names) who could not have a worse fate than to spend all of eternity down there without any shelter, shade or air conditioning.
