What's up with Liz? - FM 97 (96.9)

I only get to hear the show a couple mornings during the week. For the past couple of weeks I have noticed that Liz's voice is different. I haven't heard them mention anything about it...

Is she dealing with laryngitis/other? Hopefully nothing serious...

She definitely is! Her & Bryan have real on air chemistry. I really like the way they work together.

No members on here from the station? No one knows about Liz? ???
 
I didn't get to listen this morning...maybe she is okay now. I emailed her w/ a link to this thread, hopefully she responds. :)
 
Liz emailed me yesterday; She informed me that yes, she was sick for several days which was affecting her voice. The reason that I thought it was an extended period of time is that they were playing pre-recorded bits that she recorded at the time she was not sounding "herself".

I had a chance to listen this morning & she sounds like she is back to her normal self!

All well that ends well! :)

Ok...who do you think is good? Come to think of it, I thought thew Amish weren't supposed to be listening to the radio. Would love to know what is on an Amish persons IPOD?

there are a total of ZERO entertaining local morning radio shows. They are all awful. As I said, if you think Liz/Brian is entertaining you really dont have a single clue.
 
I agree that FM97 is nothing that I would ever intentionally listen to - however, I feel that there are a couple of really good morning shows in the area. Nipsey, Earl and Jen on 105.7, and Kim and Scott on 107.7

uh, Nipsey/Earl/Jen are awful. if you think Earl is funny then you have issues. Nipsey and Jen probably have in their contracts that they must laugh at him - that is the only explanation. every once in a while they will have a funny bit, but for the most part it is all forced laughter and forced bits
 
So tell us "Amish Terp", what would you like to hear in the morning? You don't like Liz and Brian from FM 97. You don't like Nipsy and crew. You don't like Zack and Jack on one of the sports stations. So please tell us....if you were programming a station, what would you program in the morning drive slot?
 
If you're going to talk smack, have something to back it up with. If someone sucks, either show us how it's done, or point us to someone who does. Liz / Bryan - Nipsey/Earl & Jen are vets, they've proven their talent. Something that you haven't done Terp.
 
Nipsey,Jen & Earl are some of the best people I've had the opportunity
to work with. They not only have longevity together as a morning
team but they have solid numbers to back them up.
Earl is a great talent, and has sold out comedy clubs all over this country
and has appeared with some of top names in the entertainment business.
What have you done Terp?
 
ok. do you people want to know what a great, ENTERTAINING, local show was. when Bruce Bond was at Wink 104 in the afternoon. that was tremendous stuff. granted, it was not morning, but it was basically a morning show in the afternoon.

do any of you remember Bruce? I think he is heading to jail soon lol

but, if anyone could copy that cast and bring it to the morning I would be happy
 
Actually "Terp", many of us on this board do remember Bruce Bond because many of us have been in the business for 20-35 years. What you may not understand is what worked in the 80's and 90's does not necessarily work today...just like what worked on TV 20 years ago does not always work today.

Stop living in the past, man.
