whats up with Party93.1 HD2

I just noticed their Facebook page has been deleted, their online stream has been shut down and their tune-in phone app stream is also out... whats going on ? i dont have an hd radio at the moment and cant hear if their still on the air. can anyone else hear them over the airwaves ?

I have a HD radio in my car, so when I went out to lunch just now, I checked and Party 93.1 is still on HD2. Strange about everything else going away, however.

thanks for letting me know, i just checked all their links again and now www.party931.com is offline... whats going on, anyone know ?

Could the "Evolution" up 0.4 MHz on the dial (or at WHYI-HD2) have influenced Cox to pull the plug on Party (yet again)?

Realizing that Party was a bit more pop-based while Evolution is more EDM based.

I e-mail the main 93.1 FM Easy 93.1 station and i didnt get an e-mail back about what happen to Party 93.1 HD-2. So I guess Party 93.1 HD-2 is gone.

dont think anyone at easy will reply with anything from party... im gonna call cox-miami on monday and see what i can dig up

The way streaming bandwidth works, isn't the cost directly proportional to the amount of use?

So it's essentially off the air. Their listeners will migrate to Evolution 93.5 rather than buy an HD radio. If the cost of streaming was high, that means that it was pretty popular. Now that its online presence is gone (if it was relegated to HD2 only, the online site would be able to inform the listeners and perhaps a few would get an HD radio).

They probably don't feel like it's worth it now that Evolution 93.5 is on the air.

Easy 93.1 still streams and I'm sure its stream is more popular than Party 93.1.

93.5 has a miniscule footprint except for the area around Ultra Music Fest.
They should buy out Reach FM's translator on the same frequency and go omni-directional from one of the eight hundred foot buildings or even from the top of the SBS tower where they are.

I have finally figured out why Partys website, webstream and social media pages were taken down... Cox radios new manager decided to pull the plug due to operation costs... What a shame they worked so hard to get back Party to South Florida in some manner and all of a sudden the new guy decided to almost shut them down... but at least he didnt touch the HD2 signal i'm thank full for that
