Whats Up With River???

If they're gonna bring back the "Y"..would they also bring back former jocks ??....presents quite the conundrum for Coyote..Y107..or OLDIES 96.3.. ::) HE!! go all they way back to Kixx 104..makes Coyote a triple threat....as far as I'm concerned..any of the above would sound way better than whats on the dial at present..I wonder if they are considering Y107 with the format they had back then ?? what demo would that be now ?

The River's not hurting, but that would be an incredible marketing ploy. I've often said bringing back the legendary stations
is good PR. The Party just has signal issues. KDF as any form of rock? Sure. Star? I dunno. Never had real legs because the
good eggs weren't allowed to grow up after being hatched and controlled by the moronic mother hens (as well as being
thrown out of the nest.)

That is by far the most interesting web find in some time. Maybe, though it'll just be an online web station.

Kinda goes back to what we said last year about the Party returning: there's really nothing new under the sun in radio anymore! ::)

That said, Memphis brought back Rock 103 in 1986 (although they didn't call them that at the time) after an absence of a little over a year. They've been "back" so long that many folks probably never realized that there was a time when they were "gone"!

sources close to the throne say they're gonna do it on HD..i don't know, enough about HD to know what it is..so maybe that makes sense to most of ya'll........best as i understand it..it's kind of a sideband to the real frequency..? oh for the days when all you needed was a box of 45's, a spotmaster and a couple of turntables.......oh yea..a mic...

suckers! Radio people will fall for anything. Unfortunately the only people who remember these old stations are the people who worked there. We are bigger in our own minds.

ditto romer...better to be a has been than a never was.. ;D perhaps the reason people remember those old stations is because they were so much better than what some stations sound like today.....

(Don't read if you'd rather be surprised by the audio ...y107nashville.com)

I just spent the last 58 minutes listening to the audio. Heard a few full length songs from the 80s (Easy Lover, Girlfriend, My Prerogative, You Give Love a Bad Name) . Parody songs ("Drive Like a Nashvillian"), Mark Chase doing a live remote with the "Fools Day Parade", a slam at 106-WLAC and a KDF mention ... During the first 15 minutes they must have played "Rocky Top" at least three times...
I supposed it's worth a listen if you were a die-hard Y-107 fan.

Yes, I listened to Nick's SM95 re-creation on Live365. What happened to Live365? Did it go to fee-for-service, or did Nick not have enough time for this as a hobby? I enjoyed his work on that internet "station".
