What's up with Tai?

Anyone know any news about Tai? I heard that he's doing some tryout/trial runs with some stations out of Boston. Has anyone else heard anything on him? I always enjoyed him on FNX, ZLX & RKO.<P ID="signature">______________

Tom A. Irwin aka TAI has filled in on occasion on WTKK 96.9 FM on Saturdays for Egan and Braude. He has a pleasant style which would definately exclude TAI from returning to WRKO. In addition, he has a good radio voice which is a prohibition to employment on WRKO .... see DePetro, Feinberg, Savage,Spencer Hughes et al..

He has been trying to get into Sirius for a long time but so far nothing. He is another one who is looking for something very specific and is not just taking the first job that comes along so it will be a while for him but he will end up with the position that he actually wants.

Im surprised that fnx has hot hired him back since they are trying to recapture their indie appeal that they had when he was there. I doubt he would want to go back but if they paid him a real salary?.

He would not go back there. They probably did try to hire him back They made an inquiry to Nik Carter annd I think Neil Robert too so it would make sense thay they would want Tai but they will never pay a competitive salary, as long as they can rely on a staff that has nowhere else to go so they have to stay on for a poor salary.

I believe they would've made Nik an offer - low-balled, no doubt - but I find it difficult to see the reasoning in offering Neal Robert a gig again. He didnt pull numbers at all when he was there - well, neither did Nik but at least Nik is well-known and proven successful in Boston now - or at BOS. Unless Neil has totally given up on radio in Boston, do you think he would turn down any full-time offer to be back on the air again, FNX or otherwise?
