Sure, it's only 12+ (no wagering please) but somethin' don't look right. http://www.radio-info.com/markets/buffalo-niagara-falls
97 Rock with Bills football. Down? WGR only marginally up? With Sabres hockey and preponderance of Bills talk and Sabres games? Kiss, down? WHTT, down? Joy, down? Star, down? Again? WTF, Buttercup? Did August suck so badly that it dragged down the rolling averages for these stations? Or was October the month that killed? Damn! Even WJJL is down! Something is very wrong here. Wrong, I tell ya'!
Did the proliferation of political commercials beginning in late September and October drive off listeners? Did the Bills and Sabres suck so bad that they drove listeners to WYRK and Jack?
Maybe Star and Kiss are on a conversion course that listeners can't differentiate the brands. How the hell does that happen? Especially with Women, who have a very good sense of discernment. Does new product suck so bad in Hot AC and CHR that listeners would rather dial up their favorite playlists in their iPods?
Shouldn't WBEN have been up at least a half share given the Palidino-Republican-Tea Party revolution after the primary win? Will Sep-Oct-Nov prove stronger for the republican party's standard bearer?
WJYE's move to Joy and a Hot AC playlist probably drove off it's 50+ Women, leading to a softer 12+. But that being the case, shouldn't WHTT be up a few tenths again. Seems WJYE and Star can't go All Christmas soon enough. But does All Christmas solve the Star and Joy dilema?
And what about the rumor that Star will forgo playing all versions of "Joy to the World?"
