What's up with these terrible ratings in Albany?

How do these talk stations survive with consistent crap for talk ratings. I am new here and I have never seen anything like it. Will the latest book mean firings?
 
WGY, the market's primary talk station, is currently #2 12+ and consistently ranks Top 7 among 25-54s and usually a strong consideration in local ad buys. WROW and Talk 1300 rely less on selling ratings and more on direct sales to local businesses. Paul Vandenburgh did a terrific job for WROW of creating ROI for his local advertisers using a live read/ endorsement strategy and has transferred that success to Talk 1300.
 
Im not surprised at all.....

This area SUCKS TOTALLY for radio (On both bands)

Im 2 favourites for this area would be

1.3 - I listen to Dr Laura on there,very nice station!

97.9 - Ever since they signed on i have always liked thier format...

Has the power boost to 10kw gone in to effect yet? I know that they have a CP to do so...
 
Two years old & now twice the power! Thank you for making the switch to TALK 1300! Weekdays or weekends - all day! The most LOCAL talk is here. ..

Not desperate at all just answering a question with a quote from Talk 1300 's website. I have nothing to promote, I'm a radio fan (hobby) I have real job that pays very well!
