What's up with WBUD 1260?

Is this station automated or is it running some kind of satellite format? Yesterday I was listening when just before 3 PM they started playing a Beatles song, but they faded it out after only a few seconds to do the legal ID and network news at the top of the hour. It sounded very sloppy. Is there any life left to WBUD, or is it just running off an old Packard Bell computer tucked into a dusty closet in the NJ101.5 building?
