what's up with WEUS?

There might be changes starting at WEUS. I was listening to the People Power Hour on WEUS this afternoon and heard the hosts mention the show would be moving to the 6pm hour starting Monday March 8th. One of the hosts joked the move was being made because they could afford the new time slot.

They must feel that what didn't work over at 1190 will somehow work for them 810. Though I'm glad they aren't just another religious or Spanish AM station in the market.

It's the same story in every market, one or two talkers with rating and the rest get none. Orlando has 540,580, and 660 that see some numbers but beyond that nothing. The surprise is that 740 since flipping back to sports still has zero numbers and for the most part covers the entire market. I do not understand why 1080 even bothers to be on at night as there signal is so limited, even 1190 signal better at night.

This morning when sampling the Laura Ingraham show I heard WEUS soliciting for brokered programs. A promo/spot voiced by Carmine Tutera aired asking for people who are "experts in their field" and want to be on the radio to give him a call to be heard on the radio station with a potential of 1.5 million listeners. Also, a promo for a talk show aired and the WEUS website was mentioned. Problem...that website as I post this is not accurate and has dead links. Note the top left...the header of the webpage reads, "WEUS is off the air" and reading down the page it shows hosts/programs that are no longer on the air or times that have been changed. ROFLOL

What a joke. Now they have dropped what little music they were playing in favor of canned political talk crap. And their calling themselves Orlandos real talk. Good luck in the next ratings book. The only "real" thing about them is what they are showing on their website today "WEUS 810 AM Radio has ceased operations" http://www.810weus.com

WOW...listened this morning to this Ray guy...i guess if you have money they will air anything...it's another want to be a radio talk show host...sad...kind of enjoyed the oldies when in the car..can't get them in the house
