Whats up with WMAC?

"The 50,000 watt Voice of the South" (stold that from WSB didn't they? - Like we don't remember!) They have been operating at reduced power off and on for a couple of years. They announce that they are doing work on the towers or transmitter or both. "Bear with them", they say, "it'll be fixed soon."
How long does it take to repair a station? I think you could build a new one from the ground up quicker than that.

Yeah, I saw that, and that's what they have been saying on the air. I just wondered why it takes so cotton-picking long to do it.
