What's up with WUMP?

I noticed that. You know it was just a few weeks ago that the translator was dead air for a week, now the parent am is completely off the air for a week? What in the world is going on over there? The beginning of football season is NOT the time to be having problems and instability, especially being the Alabama Crimson Tide Network carrier for the market and new sports competition in town on a bigger signal at 97.7 and them picking up ESPN affiliation. It might give Alabama a reason to want to jump ship with who they want to carry their football games in Huntsville & I know 97.7 would LEAP at the chance to snatch it up.

So apparently the am transmitter took a big lightning hit and repairs took longer than expected. The FM translator was turned off while the am was off the air in order to be fcc compliant. Repairs have finally been completed and it is back on the air. Just in time for the big Alabama game tomorrow. Glad its all fixed now. Must have fried the transmitter pretty bad.
