Anybody notice what seems to be flat procrssing on WZOK??? Dunno if they are using a backup processor or if something happen to theirs... For the most part the audio is all midrange with no lows or very little highs... Adam have you noticed??? CC

I'm not a big ZOK listener, so no... I'll have to check tomorrow when I can either fire up the stereo in the living room or check in my car (my 2 good sets of speakers!)

The reason for the bad quality of sound was because WZOK was on their back-up transmitter while the main transmitter was being repaired.
 
Holy Cow!!!!! That was a thread I had forgot about... Can't believe it was four months ago I started it :) :) :). I hope I don't get anybody upset when it comes to me asking questions about audio... I love to hear a good sounding station and Rockford just does not cut it with any of the stations right now... CC1 AKA Crazee Carroll
 
For the most part - ZOK sounds good. Musically they are basically a hybrid Hot A/C - CHRa and seem to be on target.

They really need to do something about the morning show though. Steve Shannon is good! Stephanie Troy needs to go away QUICK! She is annoying and sounds like a trucker. She is trying to get into stand-up, but sucks at that too. I saw her act several months ago (by chance) and it was aweful!!!!!!!

I saw that they are looking for a new night guy and I hope they find someone that gets it like Sweet Lenny does.
