What's with all this AC crap?

Maybe it's just me here BUT...I am so sick of being spoonfed the same 150 songs over and over and over and over and over yada yada yada.

Almost every station in the area is a cookie cutter version of a another one in the area. You can say what you want about station ID's, liners, and jocks, but it all boils down to most stations sound the same in NEPA by playing and copying one another.

I just want a NEW format at this point and i personally don't care what the heck 92.1 becomes as long as its DIFFERENT and NEW to the area.

Anyone else feel this way?

BY THE WAY.............

What is this obsession with AC in the market?

92.1 going AC? HAHAHAHA thats REALLY funny and I'm not being sarcastic either.

Sadly, that's just the way things are around here. Someone sees somebody else having success and wants a piece of that pie. Take a look at The River. We think we're getting something new and original, but they give us a very small duplicate of Rock107's and Magic93's playlist.
Not the same 150 songs...maybe the same 250.
This is a conservative market---broadcasters are afraid to take a chance on something untried for fear of failure.

Which is why a POLKA FM might not be out of the question
in this market. Look at WALN in Reading.
