What the heck is B103 doing in Rockford with this "on-air music test"? Do they not have the money to do one off air? Give me a break. We'll take the listeners!
Wow! I guess someone is feeling pretty insecure themselves to pick on other talent! Oh...did I mention that we are the #1 morning show in Rockford? Or maybe you forgot that didn't you? BTW, don't ever call me sweetheart.SlashsHat said:I find it funny when "talent" (cough, cough) from other stations become so bothered by another stations business!![]()
Do you feel threatened by a "lite rock" station sweetheart??
Wow, how about you all just stop picking on her. I agree its kinda weird to have a music test on air, but its not a bad idea either.Radiogeek1019 said:Listeners?
Try radio or ex radio people.
SlashsHat said:Dear Denise Pagano (aka MY Sweetheart) - First off honey, YOU are the person that started this post. Secondly darling, The MAIN talent of the morning show that you are a small part of, has had fantastic numbers LONG before you came along. Thirdly baby, I was NOT "picking" on you..I found your post quite funny like the majority of posts on this website, so I needed to include my part.
I hope you can relax, and understand that I love you snuggle-bunny!
Have a great day, beautiful.
Thanks again for the beautiful comment...I'll take it as such. I don't want this to be a fight...that wasn't my intent. That's not who I am quite frankly...so if it came off as such I'm sorry SlashsHat.
Just was curious on why they did what they did, that's all. You would never hear anything like that on Chicago radio which is where my career was until I came to Rockford.
Also,(just fyi) I know wholeheartedly I work with one of the most talented men in radio...and we are 50/50 partners on the show.

So, if a heritage station in a top 10 market that CAN afford all of the above to do something like this shows it's not just a stupid idea.
Nobody has yet to point out why this is such a bad thing other than "It's lame." To me it seems like a great way to connect with your audience and make them feel one with their radio station. This is even more important being it's a female-targetted station. Even if you don't use any of the information you get in it's still a good way to get a buzz generated about your station.
